The 2019 Clayton Snow Memorial shoot, the 10th annual, took place May 18th under cool and cloudy skies. The first flights out experienced light on and off rain for most of their rounds but shortly after the 2nd squads went out, the skies broke and a nice warm sun came out for the remainder of the shoot.
To commemorate the 10th annual shoot, all shooters were given a small but beautiful glass bottle of maple syrup which will bring back fond memories of this day.
Mike Rykaczewski brought his best game with him from down Pittsburgh way, breaking 98 in the 20 and then “ran em” in the 28 to take HOA honors with a 198 total. Ernie Avolio took runner-up, just one back with a 197, breaking 98 then a 99.
20 Gauge:
Ernie Avolio won a shoot-off with Mike Rykaczewski for gun champ with Mike then taking A1. Josh Crofutt took AA1 (97) with Dale Snow snagging AA2 (96) and Carl Biddle AA3 (92). A2 went to Bob Leali with a 96. John Avolio took B1 (94) and Steve Best getting B2 (93). Glenn Davis took C1 with his 91. Marie Palmer removed all doubt who was ruler of D class when she posted her registered career high (to date) with a great 98. Bud, you’ll have to wait for next time ;>)
28 Gauge:
Mike Rykaczewski’s lone 100 gave him the gun champ. Ernie Avolio squared up in a shoot-off with Josh Crofutt to see who’s 99 would take A class. Josh prevailed with Ernie then A2. B1 went to Jeff Riddle for his 97 with Dave Hehemann’s 96 good for B2. Glenn Davis took C1 with a 94 and Marie Palmer getting C2 (87) and Ron Kopf C3 (84). George Gleich’s 89 was good for D1 with Bud Proctor taking D2 with a 82.
A big thanks to all of the club members who worked hard to put this shoot on including Samuel Marks (registration and scoring), referees Keith Snow, Sam Marks, Larry Price, and Samuel Marks. All the guys filling traps and cleaning up after. Thanks also to caterer “The Cooking Caterers” for the good food we enjoyed.
Enjoy some more pic’s!
